Okay, this is huge!

Okay, this is huge!!! 😱😱 I think I just chatted with what seems an early alpha build of Google’s support chat AI! (Which must be a secret)

It completely missed the point. But in the end I got help. I do think it wasn’t the same machine or person. But the way it answered my “are you a real person” question was very frightening. It wrote “Yes, Henry”. But then IMMEDIATELY corrected itself and wrote “*Henny”. It did that in such a fast time (less than 0.2 seconds) that I assume this supposed support worker wouldn’t have done it.

The supposed support worker (in my opinion it was an AI) answered EXTREMELY SLOWLY (sometimes minutes passed by until he/it answered simple questions)!!

After that it seemed like there was a human taking over answering all the was needed to answered in less than 2 minutes and giving me what I needed.

I was disappointed that I wasn’t informed to be chatting with an early build of an AI. But then again: The best tests occur when the test person isn’t informed about what’s going on 😜

This was an exciting experience for me. 🤤 And, yes, I’m not a noob in these areas. 🤓

And this is just me getting started. End of this year I’ll begin studying applied computer sciences.
