Browser UI for Chrome OS, Linux, and Windows just got a Material design mode refresh in Canary 🐤 channel.

Plenty of things have been updated for the better in my opinion: tab shape, single tab mode, omnibox suggestion icons, tab strip coloring, pinned tabs, and alert indicators.

MacOS users can set experimental flags chrome://flags/#top-chrome-md to “Refresh” and enable chrome://flags/#views-browser-windows to try it out now.

Note that it’s still being actively developed and that you may stumble upon bugs.

I was one of the chosen 1% of users.

I was one of the chosen 1% of users. But really, in this case I didn’t want to be that! I don’t wanna be a guinea pig for performance optimisation, Google!

“As of Chrome 67, Site Isolation is enabled for 99% of Windows, Mac, Linux, and Chrome OS users. That left out percentage is meant to monitor and improve performance, which Google is working towards optimizing.”

Okay, this is kinda VERY INTERESTING!

Okay, this is kinda VERY INTERESTING!

Y’all know by now that I’m fully into AI and that I want to code AI later myself. Now it was just a matter of time until Google’s machine learning algorithm detected that I was interested in the possible dark side of AI. And such a video (where 5 creepy robot interactions are shown) was presented to me today, so I clicked on it.

Then I asked Google Assistant for fun: “Can you love?” and it responded with an “Okay” and brought me right back to YouTube! 😱😰😮

I tried to check whether it’s the same case with any other question I asked it. So I asked how big Hamburg was. And it stayed in the app and provided me the perfect information…

Here’s the link to the video I was watching: https://youtu.be/0hVuCWfyHP4
