‘Impostors’ Manipulate Google With Fake Takedown Request – Over the past few years, we’ve featured our fair share of bizarre DMCA takedown articles. Most of these boil down to mistakes by automated bots or plain incompetence. More recently, however, we’ve started to notice an influx of more coordinated DMCA abuse. Scammers, posing as legitimate rightsholders and reporting agencies, are asking Google to remove hundreds of thousands if not millions of URLs. Many of these links do indeed point…

Wow, guys! I just spotted the most awesome Chrome simplifying feature in a long time in Chrome stable!

Wow, guys! I just spotted the most awesome Chrome simplifying feature in a long time in Chrome stable!

What it does?

It let’s you type 1 letter into the search bar of chrome and chrome comes up with the most relevant and most probable site you are searching for and takes you directly to their homepage. So, what you do is the following:

1 press on search bar, 1 letter in search bar, one press on enter and you have arrived at the homepage of a site you are most likely to visit. I typed in “a” and it came up with “androidpolice.com“. It also works with Twitter, 9to5google and almost any other site I was visiting often in the past. It doesn’t work for Google+, because it thinks you want “google.com“, not “plus.google.com“. But still:

A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!

How to get the feature?

Turn on this flag in Chrome:

chrome://flags/#omnibox-ui-jog-textfield-on-popup

I think this will soon be THE place to be on G+!
